printable gift tags round-up

Oh boy. There is going to be a whole lotta gift wrapping in the next couple of days. I predict I will be buried under a huge mountain of wrapping paper, ribbon and discarded tape by the end of Christmas Eve night. But in the meantime, I have found some super cute free printable gift tags online that I can’t wait to use. I love the internet :)

Loving these gift tags  from Hey Look

my fave handmade ornament tutorials

One of my favorite things to do every Christmas is to make new handmade ornaments for the tree. And, thank you internet, there are always super cute and adorable tutorials to be found. Here are a few that I’ve come across that I can’t wait to make before we decorate the family tree this weekend:

1. cute ornament from Good Housekeeping 2. clothespin ornaments from Martha 3. mini matryoshkas from Sew to Speak 4. snowmen from Talk Crafty to Me 5. santa from the Long Thread 6. elves from Martha 7. polaroid from katiecupcake 8. pom pom snowman from Martha 9. oragami boxes from Creature Comforts

More cute favorites and other holiday crafts can be found over on my Pinterest holiday page. Happy ornamenting!

sweets mat

A belated birthday present currently snail-mailing it up north:

I was inspired by this sweet mat from Linen, Wool, Cotton.

I switched it up a little with some printed fabric, ric-rac (which I haven’t used much) and embroidered x’s (because for the life of me I can’t make an embroidered french knot look good).

I also rounded the corners which sparked a slightly epic battle between me and the ric-rac on that first curve (it would just not stay put). But I’m happy to report it turned out well in the end.

I’m definitely going to make a few more of these as Christmas presents. Cute, simple and easy to make. Judging on how I’m currently progressing (or not progressing) on my holiday to-do list, I’m really going to need some more of these quick projects.
