rifle paper

I was perusing the Rifle Paper Co. website this morning and fell in love with these French cards. They have shot up to the top of my Christmas list. Ooh la la!!

quilt-y inspiration

Where do you go for a little hit of quilting inspiration? I always check out the Anthropologie website to take a peek at the bedding. There are always great pattern and fabric combinations. These quilts are an Anthro/APC collaboration and are simply gorgeous (although a bit expensive):

iPod case

I whipped up an iPod case for a nephew’s birthday. It was the first time I cut into my Ruby Star Rising fabric. Definitely needed to take a deep breath before that first snip.

I quilted it with a layer of batting and then embroidered his name on the lining.

I actually broke two needles sewing this up. What’s worse than the sound of that crunch and then the sight of an annihilated needle?
